The Body: A Vehicle to Vulnerability was born from the belief that symbolic imprints create deep and profound healing.

What if?

Our bodies react to all of our memories, our lived experiences, and our trauma. Thus, if our bodies keep the tally of our life, then perhaps by giving our bodies a new memory, could we not also get the body to begin to heal and thus help us heal? This art therapy project began with the following questions: what if someone gets to tap into vulnerability and really feel seen and understood in it's diplay? What if while a story of pain is shared, we are creating new relationships to the positive experience of art? What if healing can take place through symbol and through the body instead of simply through our words and own creations.
